About the Opportunity
As our IT Manager, you will report to the global IT Manager in a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to strengthen the team as Okcoin scales rapidly in Europe.
You will be challenged to provide guidance for developing, implementing and monitoring a strategic, comprehensive Malta/EU cybersecurity and IT risk management program.
You will engage with the broader company to ensure alignment on policy, procedures, compliance and objectives, including information security related training for EU employees. You will make recommendations to improve IT performance at our Malta/EU sites. You will perform root cause analysis and recommend procedures and controls for information problem prevention, document with issue and report to key stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Design, develop, and manage data on various databases
Set up and maintain local IT infrastructure per Maltese and EU requirements
Coordinate and drive successful recurring MFSA, MDIA, and third-party IT/Systems audits, data classification and governance per Maltese and EU requirements
Manage business continuity and disaster recovery plans in accordance with Maltese and EU requirements
Be a coordinator for IT security incidents response plan, intranet server log review, security information collection, and security event management (SIEM)
Responsible for administration and maintenance of the company's IT software such as Google Workspace, MS Office, Jamf MDM, Email, Jira, Adobe, etc and asset management
Hands on approach to resolve day-to-day troubleshooting, issues resolution and support for in-office and remote users in Malta and EU
Manage third party vendor relationships, service providers and service contracts
Provide strategic recommendations to enhance processes, procedures, governance approaches, and compliance, including assistance with external and internal auditing, technical reviews, and identification of security risks
Evaluate, Install, and maintain EDR software
Create IT knowledge-sharing documents, and constantly improve the IT service desk knowledge base
Responsible for the implementation of the strategy, technical standards, specifications, and technical solutions designed by the Global IT team.
Improve the IT service satisfaction and service experience of employees in their office(s)
Provide training to local teams on company-wide IT-related policies
What We Look For In You:
5+ years leading and managing IT networks and systems team
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business
Excellent interpersonal abilities with strong written and oral communication skills and is comfortable working cross-functionally to produce results
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented and process-focused in managing key deliverables and multiple timelines with a track record of delivering results
Prior hands-on work with VPN, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Cloud Environment (SaaS)
Flexibility to travel within Malta/EU and global company offices as needed
Experience working with Google workspace, Jira, Jamf, macOS and iOS
Experience working under Malta and EU frameworks MFSA, MDIA and GDPR
Nice to Haves:
Being able to communicate in Mandarin/Chinese is a HUGE plus.
Experience with Blockchain, Crypto and/or Fintech
Experience defining, building, and maintaining an IT program
Contribute how to make the process better and more efficient
Experience with network protocols, IP addressing, routing and switching
Ability to demonstrate experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting desktop and server, hardware and software
Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, Fortinet NSE)
