About the Role Hungryroot is looking for a Senior Analyst, Personalization to join our growing Food Analytics + Optimization Engineering team.  The primary responsibility of this Senior Analyst will be to understand the impact, via simulations and experimentation, of changes we make to our optimization logic. They will also work with our personalization team to complete ad hoc and routine analyses, uncovering opportunities, informing prioritization of work and monitoring experiments and  initiatives. A Senior Analyst may also have an opportunity to work on food experience initiatives - supporting supply chain, sourcing and culinary via analyses.  Responsibilities Develop a detailed understanding of our personalization and swaps algorithm in order to help with simulations (internal testing) & experimentation; eventually leading full validation (via simulations and experiments) of changes made to our personalization algorithm, which may require build out of new metrics/reporting (using SQL exclusively) Develop a detailed understanding of our database, to understand inputs (customer preferences, skus, recipes) and outputs (box contents) of our algorithm, and be able to easily pull and validate data. Validate changes that impact input/output data (i.e. needs to be very comfortable in databases) Understand critical business metrics to monitor performance of algorithms, creating standardized reporting (in SQL and/or BI tools) and performing ad-hoc analyses Use data to uncover and size opportunities related to personalization and food experience. There is opportunity to then drive those opportunities forward, partnering with OR, data and product teams Work closely with our developers and data engineering team.
