About the job We are seeking a leader who will own the strategy, design and execution of Twilio’s learning and leadership development experiences. The Senior Director of Talent Development will lead the talent and leadership development team to design and build solutions that amplify the talent development experience to better identify, grow, and retain our leaders and talent in a remote environment. Specifically in the first year focusing on: Optimizing our Performance and Talent review processes to identify talent Building Career Development Frameworks to define role expectations and career opportunities Designing and developing a complete leadership development offering to grow our leaders Operating our Learning Services & systems at scale to meet the needs of Twilions, Teams and Twilio Responsibilities In this role, what you’ll do: People Leadership: lead, coach and develop a team to create even greater breadth and depth in Talent Development programs and processes. Strategic and Scalable Program Leadership: design and implement pilot programs; create program vision, measurement approach, project plans, change management plans, while planning for global scalability and alignment to our Twilio Magic values. Scope includes: Performance Management, Talent Planning, Succession Planning, Manager Development, Leadership Development, and Learning Systems. Learning and Development: Drive data-driven development approaches for all employee segments, with emphasis on equipping our people leaders to help all Twilions thrive. Enable digital/virtual learning through our LMS and other virtual platforms.  Stakeholder Management: Build trusting relationships, work closely with HR Business Partners, People team COEs, and business leaders – tailoring learning programs from individual contributors through executives, and building or iterating on talent development processes.  Qualifications  Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Required: 12+ years of experience in Leadership, Talent and/or Organizational Development; 5+ years in a leadership capacity where you created global strategies, built a high performing organization, and delivered proven leadership development impact; Strong executive presence and the ability to influence and align the executive team; A thought leader in the leadership development field with a natural curiosity for leveraging leading edge practices across multiple fields and industries; Extensive experience building and facilitating talent development solutions across multiple modalities and a deep knowledge of talent assessment methodologies and tools; Ability to navigate horizontally in the organization and create strong collaborative, cross-functional relationships; Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Desired: Broad global experience; Executive coaching experience desirable; An MBA or masters in leadership, organizational psychology or a related field preferred. Location  This role will be remote, and based in the USA. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only. The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows: Based in Colorado: $193,760 - $235,000. Based in New York, Washington State or California (outside the San Francisco Bay Area): $205,200 - $250,000. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $227,920 - $275,000. This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
