About the Role
The Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, procurement, and inventory management of all materials used by the company. This includes working with engineers and designers to determine material requirements, sourcing materials from suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory levels. The Materials Manager also plays a key role in ensuring that the company has the right materials in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand.
What you’ll Do
Develop and implement materials strategies that align with the company's overall business goals
Work with engineers and designers to determine material requirements
Lead a team of supply planners to source materials from suppliers
Manage inventory levels to ensure that the company has the right materials on hand to meet customer demand
Work with production to ensure that materials are delivered on time and in the right quantities
Track and analyze materials costs to identify opportunities for savings
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in materials management
You
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Nice to Have
Familiarity with AI / ML / Deep Learning
APICS Certification
Prior people leader experience
Experience as a Lean practitioner

Salary Range Information
Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $150,000-$192,000 . However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
