Echodyne is seeking a system s engineering technician with experience in testing, debugging, and integrating complex electronics to join our team working in a fast-paced environment developing high-performance commercial radar solutions. The systems engineering technician will be responsible for supporting the systems engineering team in the development of test stations , automated test hardware/software, and execut e subsystem/system tests .
RESPONSIBILITIES
Hands on system-level integration of software and hardware components
Build, bring-up, and troubleshoot integration and test stations along with special test equipment
Conduct system tests and evaluations to verify compliance with design specifications and industry standards
Provide technical support during system installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities
Assist in the identification and implementation of system improvements, enhancements, and cost reduction initiatives
Support the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including system specifications, test procedures, and user manuals
REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Experience with executing scripts and debugging automated tests
Understanding of basic electrical test equipment: oscilloscope, RF power meter, vector/scalar Network analyzer, and/or spectrum analyzer
Aware of industry best practices in test definition, test coverage, and design for test strategies
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
Experience with electronics using devices such as FPGAs, micro-controllers, and/or processors
Experience in the use or working knowledge of Linux, C++, and Python
Knowledgeable in embedded systems and operations of Ethernet network interfaces
Awareness of engineering software tools, such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design), simulation software, or system modeling tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in engineering technology or technical apprenticeship experience
5 years in cross-functional technician role
Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts as required by the supported program
