Software Test Engineer

Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM). Echodyne is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our fast-growing team. RESPONSIBILITIES Execute automated and manual verification tests, analyze and communicate results to team and the organization Author automated and manual tests Design & run exploratory tests to identify new feature testing scenarios Perform integration, regression, and system level testing of MESA radars Troubleshoot software and hardware faults, isolate and resolve issues with team Help develop and improve our test environment Work alongside radar, signal processing, hardware, and software engineers to verify new software and product release REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE Experience as a software test engineer Familiar with Python scripting Willing and able to work within a structured project environment A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, related field, or equivalent practical experience DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE  (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills) Experience authoring Integration and System Testing plans, procedures, and reports Experience using test automation frameworks Experience using Linux and Windows as test platforms Familiar with DevOps concepts, continuous testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment Familiar with software development processes and best-practices TECHNOLOGIES / TOOLS WE USE (You don't need to know all of these)   Linux, Windows, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Docker, PyPi GCC, CMake, Python, pytest, pip, virtualenv, Visual Studio Code   Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.  Therefore, we will ask you as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S.  WHAT WE OFFER The pay range for this position is $80,00 - $120,000 per year.
