Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM). Echodyne is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop Qt C++ UI applications. RESPONSIBILITIES Design and implement Qt-based GUIs in both Windows and Linux environments Contribute to improving GUI consistency across every part of the software Conduct and participate in GUI design reviews, working closely with subject matter experts and other software developers Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure predictable and coordinated execution of software development tasks REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE A GUI designer with experience using Qt/QML in C++ Proficiency in architecting and documenting GUI-based software applications An experienced follower of modern software development processes and best-practices A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE  (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)   GUI test automation Familiarity with state machine frameworks and state chart design, in an event driven system GUI creation using Python Flask Web-frontend GUI creation Familiar with DevOps concepts, continuous testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment TECHNOLOGIES / TOOLS WE USE (You don't need to know all of these)   Linux, Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Docker Qt Creator, GCC, CMake, Python, pip, virtualenv, Visual Studio Code   Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.  Therefore, we will ask you as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S.  WHAT WE OFFER The pay range for this position is $115,200.00 - $172,800.00 per year.
