This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees. Due to the nature of this role, we would expect someone to be onsite in Dallas,Texas, five days a week. We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build those relationships with team members in other cities, we meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. What The Role Is Following our strategic acquisition of a durable medical equipment company last year, Babylist entered the healthcare and wellness industry for the first time. Babylist Health is now live! This ambitious new offering opens doors in the healthcare market with the opportunity to offer additional health services and products for people in this life stage. At Babylist Health, we envision insurance transparency for all our patients and our Insurance Billing Specialist will conduct in depth insurance verification to achieve just that. This is a new role within the Babylist Health insurance billing and eligibility team where you’ll be able to bring your expertise and create positive impact within our insurance eligibility and billing processes/procedures. This person will report directly to the Insurance Claim Recovery Manager and will work closely with other departments to provide the best possible patient experience.  Who You Are You have the ability to be productive without major oversight and will be able to multi-task and refocus based on high priority items You have expert knowledge of billing insurance, specifically with commercial plans You have in depth insurance benefit investigations experience over the phone and online You are able to identify plans that require pre-certifications, collect documents and submit any additional required information You can identify and flag plans where benefits apply towards deductible/coinsurance You communicate with patients in a positive manner when additional information must be obtained to verify benefits You can identify patterns in user input data to make changes to the website You are a pro with Excel and Microsoft Word You take pride in being a strong communicator, both written and verbal, to be able to successfully communicate with insurance companies and patients How You Will Make an Impact You will provide outstanding customer service to resolve any insurance related inquiries and post-shipment patient contact.
