Sr. Director, Personalized Medicine

Opportunity Overview: The Clinical Transformation team is responsible for developing and scaling innovative new offerings that utilize data and technology to shift prior authorization from a transactional experience to a transformational one.  Reporting to the SVP, Clinical Transformation, the Sr. Director, Personalized Medicine is the business leader responsible for developing and executing the strategy and go-to-market plan for Cohere’s portfolio of digital products that utilize prior auth to personalize care for patients and drive value for providers.  Collaborating heavily with Product, Design, Engineering, and Clinical teams, this role will use market, competitive, and regulatory signals, coupled with business strategy, financial analysis, behavioral economics, and deep understanding of Cohere’s product and technical capabilities to shape the future roadmap of interventions that drive next-level outcomes.  The work will be fast-paced with evolving needs, requiring flexibility, emotional intelligence, curiosity, and grace under pressure. What you will do: Deeply understand the needs of health plans, risk-bearing providers, clinicians, and patients, as well as market, competitive, and regulatory headwinds and tailwinds Serve as the subject-matter expert for digital interventions that drive behavior change in healthcare Assess the desirability, feasibility, and viability of Cohere investing in clinical interventions that drive personalized medicine and gain executive buy-in for strategic business cases Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering, Clinical, Analytics, Growth, and other teams, and serve as the voice-of-the-business and voice-of-clinical  Coach and develop direct reports Your background & requirements: Bachelor's degree required (Preferred: MBA or an advanced degree in healthcare-related discipline) 15+ years experience in the areas of digital health and/or provider or payer leadership 7+ years experience in digital product management 3+ years experience in behavioral economics and/or human-centered design Proven track record of developing and executing product strategies that address critical needs of payers, providers and patients while meeting business objectives Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in developing and delivering presentations to executive audiences and ability to tailor communication style to different audiences Strong ability to initiate and maintain cross-functional relationships to deliver Flexible and agile, comfortable with the ambiguity of an early stage startup, skilled working in remote environments, and self-directed Strong understanding of the Medicare and commercial insurance industry, including value-based risk models We can't wait to learn more about you and meet you at Cohere Health!
