What you’ll do:
Build, lead and maintain a diverse team of flight test maintenance personnel supporting the development and certification of Archer's piloted eVTOL aircraft project
Performs developmental, experimental and production aircraft maintenance, repair, modification, installation, and testing tasks; electrical / electronic, mechanical and instrumentation
Instructs, coordinates, and performs the duties / functions of Flight Test maintenance personnel in area(s) of assignment
Minimizes aircraft downtime and maximizes aircraft availability and schedule reliability by planning system-wide aircraft maintenance in response to changes in the operation
Establish & coordinate the short/long term plan to assure facility, manpower, materials/tooling, and skills are available to execute all maintenance activity
Helps to create and manage all Flight Test maintenance policies and procedures
Assists in establishing maintenance safety policies and procedures for ground operations and evaluates effectiveness of the Safety Management System
Provides plans and schedules for all aircraft maintenance
Prepares specifications for hours / material on repairs, maintenance, and inspections not called out by Engineering Orders or established Maintenance Procedures
Coordinates with all non-company personnel or Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) performing maintenance on Archer Aviation aircraft
Establishes and maintains aircraft maintenance records required by FAA regulations, manufacturer recommendations, and company policy
Ensures compliance with Engineering Orders affecting Flight Test aircraft
Ensures calibration of test equipment and tools
Ensures that products, parts, supplies, and consumables meet the specifications and requirements set forth by engineering and that necessary amounts of these items are maintained
Monitors expiration dates for Aircraft parts, aircraft/hangar consumable supplies, first aid kits, applicable survival / emergency equipment
Reviews and updates emergency and survival equipment and aircraft spare parts list on an annual basis and/or as equipment/parts and contents change
Maintains a current technical library and distributes new information as appropriate
Assumes any duties as delegated by the Head of Flight Test
What you need:
5+ years of relevant work experience within aviation with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
FAA Airframe and Power plant license
Continuing education in aviation maintenance through accredited schools or manufacturer’s training programs
Driving of aircraft tugs, carts, and lifts
Working Hours: Ability to work a flexible schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time
Demonstrates effective communication to include both written and verbal as well as the ability to communicate and build cross-functional relationships
Expert skills in decision-making and building partnerships internally and externally
Work with all levels of personnel and effectively interact with senior and executive management
Excellent planning and organization skills and business judgment, including the ability to anticipate the impact of decisions/initiatives
Ability to drive continuous improvement activities to exceed expectations and help promote a professional organization
Bonus Qualifications:
10+ years aviation experience
Broad knowledge of, and experience with, the maintenance of aircraft of the class, category and type that Visa operates

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $148,000-$165,000 . Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
