Your Role & Mission Are you a masterful wordsmith, able to write great content in record time? Do you ALSO happen to be an SEO wizard, long-schooled in the sorcery of creating content that soars to top-3 rankings on major search engines? If so, this is the role for you! We’re hiring a Sr. Staff Writer to join the content marketing team here at Apollo.io. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful execution of two major marketing programs: SEO and Special Reports.  You’ll work closely with content marketers, designers, data analysts, videographers, salespeople, and web engineers to produce extraordinarily great SEO campaigns for the Apollo blog and website every month.  Additionally, you will own the Apollo content newsletter, sent bi-monthly to our database of over 1M sales and marketing professionals. You'll also contribute to our quarterly “Special Reports” — longform articles and guides that dive deep into Apollo’s propriety data to help salespeople be better at their jobs. Reporting to the Head of Content Marketing, the ideal candidate for this role has a background as a professional writer and a portfolio of content that ranks (or ranked) highly on major search engines. Responsibilities: Own and execute Apollo’s SEO strategy, consistently delivering SEO campaigns that rank within the top 3 search results on Google within 12 months of publication Own the end-to-end production and distribution of our bi-monthly content newsletter, achieving best-in-class open, click and unsubscribe  Contribute to our quarterly Special Reports, diving deep into Apollo’s data to help salespeople be more successful Collaborate with other marketers and designers to deliver extraordinary copy wherever it may be needed This role is fully remote (but ideally based out of the US) and may require travel as part of the content production process.  Qualifications 5-8+ years of experience as a professional writer, preferably as a journalist, or a similar collaborative and results-oriented environment Demonstrated track record of hitting deadlines A deep portfolio of extraordinary writing across a variety of mediums, including web copy Strong project management skills  B2B marketing experience strongly preferred What You’ll Love About Apollo Besides the great compensation package and culture that thrives in openness and excellence, we invest tremendous effort into developing our remote employees’ careers.
