Specifically, the Finance team connects the dots between Smartsheet's operational and business strategies to shape near and long term financial performance.  You will join a Finance team that wants to leverage open artificial intelligence to finance use cases to drive efficiencies. We continue to improve processes in finance to drive efficiencies so that we can support the business with insights they need to achieve Smartsheet's mission: to empower anyone to promote meaningful change. This is a remote internship at Smartsheet, based in the USA. You will report to a Smartsheet's VP, Internal Audit for 10 weeks over the summer months. This Internship is with $50.00 USD hourly pay. YOU WILL (responsibilities): Work with Finance, Accounting and Business Intelligence team members Develop and seek ways to automate and streamline identified Accounting and Finance processes with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) Work towards the provided project scope and goals, and provide periodic updates to leadership Have weekly meetings with the VP of internal audit and key members of the finance team Partner with Engineering teams  to run and setup the testing environment for  automation purpose YOU HAVE (requirements): Undergraduate enrolled in Computer Science or comparable experience Advanced knowledge and practical experience with: machine learning, statistics, deep learning, recommendation systems and experimental design Strong skills and advanced knowledge the following:  Python, Pytorch or machine learning experience  Knowledge of SQL and  visualization tools Can perform descriptive analysis, diagnostic analysis, predictive analysis and prescriptive analysis Passion and interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and Automation, including pre-trained commercial artificial intelligence (AI) models Worked on projects relevant to automation, robotics, and Business Intelligence (BI) Are open to to research and learning new technologies, tools, and methodologies Are legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
