Role Summary
Rivian is growing at a rapid pace and we are looking for an experienced Senior Lead Program Manager, Talent Management who is passionate about designing, building, and implementing strategic talent management programs and initiatives to elevate our employee experience. This role is best suited for those who like to think big, innovate, and apply cutting-edge talent management trends in the creation of new programs and initiatives to improve performance, engagement, and retention.
At the center of this will be the development and execution of an integrated, future-looking talent strategy that delivers core processes to build a high-performing culture throughout Rivian, including performance management, talent development and mobility, and succession/talent planning. This role will activate and continuously build innovative talent management programs and processes to improve the engagement, performance, and movement of talent across Rivian.
As a member of the Belonging, Learning, & Talent team at Rivian, the Senior Lead Program Manager, Talent Management will work collaboratively with other areas of the People Team and the business to think of the “art of the possible” for our talent strategy and programs, and provides global strategic direction, thought leadership, and drives the end-to-end execution of all talent processes and programs across the employee lifecycle. The Sr. Manager of Talent Management has a significant impact across the organization as its direction, strategy, and actions are executed globally.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute talent management programs that support the organization's goals and objectives, such as performance management, talent reviews, and talent assessments.
Act as a strategic partner with People Team and business leaders to understand their talent development needs and develop solutions that support their business objectives.
Apply current industry trends and best practices in talent development to Rivian
Design a talent philosophy and integrated talent programs that reflect our values and strategy.
Design and execute a skill-based talent mobility and development strategy
Define talent program success metrics, evaluate and document results, and ensure consistent application across the executive population.
Create, utilize, and embed organizational development approaches and tools to drive engagement efforts, retention strategies, team development, culture enhancement efforts, and other talent development initiatives.
Utilize a data-driven approach through the collection of data and insights to drive engagement efforts, retention strategies, and improve the employee experience.
Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years of experience leading and implementing enterprise-wide organizational development/ talent development programs or key responsibilities related to the qualifications for this role.
A Bachelor's degree is required with an educational background in a highly applicable degree is strongly preferred.
Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment and demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative and team environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, interact, influence, and communicate at all levels with excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Strong project management and delivery focus.
Experience in a progressive, fast pace and hyper-growth organizations
Manufacturing, automotive, and/or tech industry experience is highly preferred.
Experience in researching, developing, and maintaining relationships with talent and technology vendors to deliver programs.
Outstanding analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills; ability to determine root causes and provide solutions.
Expert-level PowerPoint and Excel skills
Ability to travel regularly (up to 20%) to other Rivian office locations.
