PCA technology, a further development of the PCR method, enables ultra-rapid and at the same time highly sensitive molecular tests in a wide range of applications, such as the detection of multi-resistant germs in hospitals and in many other areas where rapid and reliable DNA analysis is particularly important.We are looking for a Electrical Engineer (f/m/d) to join our team in Martinsried.Your responsibilities: Viewed as a subject matter expert to a cross-functional team in selecting, developing, scale up, and/or commercializing medical diagnostic devices, including diagnostic instruments, cartridges and consumables, for the pipeline of products.Demonstrate highly advanced technical development and evaluation skills for device components, equipment, and processes.Make key decisions on suppliers to drive component selection and coordinate testing services.Lead device related testing and verification assessments to include functional and performance evaluations, in support of product development.Accountable for developing and maintaining technical records within design history files associated with development products and serves as a coach to junior staff.Lead multiple project teams of other hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of mechanical and thermal development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, validation, tooling, and testing.Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on mechanical and thermal design and development.Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.Provide domain-specific expertise and overall hardware development leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the mechanical and thermal design organization. Define and contribute to technology roadmaps to enable the product portfolio.Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.Provide input into the development of and changes to controlled documents (e.g., SOPs, Specifications, Methods, Reports, etc.) as needed.Participate in compliance audits as required.Execute general laboratory tasks, including those associated with equipment management.What do we expect? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.Typically 6-10 years experience as Electrical Engineer, ideally in medical environment.Experience in using electrical design tools and software packages.Experience in overall architecture of electronic hardware for products and solutions.Experience in evaluating and proposing forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate component, circuit, and hardware designsExcellent analytical and problem solving skills.Ability to design and integrate electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms into overall architecture.Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and German language.You are convinced to be a perfect match?
