US Retirement Plan ManagerDescription -Reporting to the Director of US Benefits, this role will manage and provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the US retirement programs. This role requires deep benefits expertise and a strong focus on reporting, controls and management of the US 401(k) plan, closed pension plans, Executive Deferred Compensation Plan, Executive Financial Counseling programs and engagement with the Investment Review Committee. Responsibilities include team leadership, strategy, design, governance, financial management, compliance, operational delivery, and cross functional engagement for all assigned programs. Specific tasks vary but work will include:Team leadership:Plan, manage and monitor high-end operational activities of the team, including day to day delivery and broad strategic issues.Recruit and support development of the team.Work closely with team to define role parameters and set expectations; motivate, coach, and foster creativity within the team.Overall program management:Serves as strategic expert to leadership for US retirement programs. Reviews and analyzes trends and advises leadership on the state of programs/benefits, demonstrating an understanding of the market dynamics, key competitor benefit plan design, and industry trends.Develops and maintains the strategic engagement framework for partnerships with Finance, Controllership and Payroll in relation to program interdependencies. Recognizes and addresses country-wide implications of programs and initiatives.Leads the retirement program strategy and approach for financial wellbeing with special focus on caregivers and diverse populationsResponsible for US retirement program design, RFP planning and negotiations and implementations.Oversee the execution of multiple US retirement programs simultaneously with accountability for impact analysis of in scope programs and initiatives, and their financial, business, and legal outcomes.Identify areas for program improvement such as simplification of the policy, enhancements and harmonization and set strategyPrepare recommendations and share proposals with executive leadership.Partner on the global Assess Benefits and Compensation annual (all country) review process and provide leadership, insights, and recommendations on in scope programs.Develop relationships with benefits industry professionals and/or organizations to maintain current market trends knowledge for internal use.Facilitate and work responses to employee escalations, as neededPrepare presentations, reports, valuations, and quarterly updates, with comprehensive data, insights, and executive level recommendations.Manage and oversee required audits and other compliance activities.Education and Experience RequiredFirst-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.Typically, 10+ years related experience in compensation, benefits, finance, and/or human resources.Typically, 2+ years supervisory experience.Minimum – 1-3 years of benefits experience with focus in US retirement; experience in finance, actuary, human resources, treasury, accounting, or risk management, also a plus.Knowledge and Skills Required:Basic understanding of capital markets and investments productsStrong analytical and risk analysis skillsStrong PowerPoint and executive presentation skills and ability to create presentations for leadershipEnjoy working with others in a team atmospherePrefer fast-paced working environment with ability to learn new concepts and techniques quicklyAbility to work independently and multi-task, with a strong attention to detailFlexibility to work various hours in a global environment or to meet deadlines.Strong management skillsContent master in the field of US retirement benefits with a knowledge of total rewards and other functional areas, with multiple areas of specialization.Exceptional financial and business acumen skills; in-depth business and industry knowledge.Advanced knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment as it relates to US retirement programs, including emerging legislation.Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, including goal setting, conflict resolution, performance management, meeting leading, budget planning, problem solving, and evaluation.Excellent project management and process development skills.Excellent communication, influence, and presentation skills, including both written and verbal forms catered to a wide variety of audiences.Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including competency in financial analysis and problem-solving skills.Ability to apply management core competencies in working with both internal clients and external partnerships.Ability to understand customer needs and interpret needs into workable programs.Ability to manage multiple projects while staying within the scope of the overall strategy.HP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:•Dental insurance•Disability insurance•Employee assistance program•Flexible schedule•Flexible spending account•Health insurance•Life insurance Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $126,000 -- $150,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
