BI Category AnalystDescription -OverviewSales Operations is a global organization that delivers market leading “Sales Experience” to enable business growth thru sales productivity, fostering stakeholders’ relationship for the Commercial Organization in all HP markets where the Category Business Management (CBM) Personal Systems team is responsible for all the business intelligence services required for the Personal Systems Category business, with a portfolio of BI solutions for business operations to provide data insights for effective business, market and country management. The BI Category Analyst is responsible for the development and administration of BI tools along with complete knowledge of the BI system also convert raw data into meaningful insights for PS Category through interactive and easy-to-understand dashboards and reports to allow the teams responsible to manage the business and sales strategies in the market to make the right decisions thanks to the CBM PS solutions insights. The BI Category Analyst applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems of moderately complex scope. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.Responsibilities: Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insightsCreate dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI or other reporting platformIdentify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and consistently monitor thoseAnalyzing data and present data through reports that aid decision-makingConvert business requirements into technical specifications and define timeline to accomplishCreate relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data modelsCreate documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relationsDesign, develop, test, and deploy scripts and visuals on dedicated BI reporting toolsPerform DAX queries and functions in Power BI or required reporting toolsAnalyze current ETL process, define and design solutions to improve existing processesData bases querying for best results, use of filters and graphs for better understanding of dataWork with users and team members at all level for performance improvement and suggestions of existing BI solutionsCollaborate with other functions like Supply Chain and Finance to create the ETLs in accordance with the policies of each of the data management organizationsEducation and Experience Required: First-level university degree or equivalent experience.Typically 2-4 years of related experience in IT/business operations.Typically 1-3 years of business intelligence and reporting experience.Knowledge and Skills: Hard SkillsMinimum experience of 3 years working with BI tools (mainly Power BI)Knowledge of database management, SQL querying, data modeling, data warehousing, business intelligence, and OLAP(Online Analytical Processing).In-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stacks such as Power Pivot, SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.
