The SVP is responsible for setting the product vision and strategy for EIS, which spans Network Edge and Equinix Metal, ensuring overall growth and profitability.Reporting to the EVP & General Manager of Digital Services, a newly formed software (product) business unit in Equinix, this leader defines how the company should be thinking about and pursuing such edge solutions for the future, while simultaneously driving the growth of the services. The SVP will ensure EIS development processes are scalable, secure, agile, consistent, fit for purpose and continue to evolve with Platform Equinix as technology changes. The leader will also be accountable for delivering on roadmap by partnering with product managers and business leaders to find product-market fit, building early business traction in the market and establishing a path to scale.The SVP EIS will prioritize and execute the roadmap with internal partners and customers and will evangelize infrastructure capabilities internally and externally.  The team of approximately 170 employees consists of product development, architects, Edge Infrastructure PM’s, Equinix Metal PM’s and Edge Infrastructure Engineering.ResponsibilitiesVision and strategyArchitect, build, operate and scale our Edge Infrastructure productsFull functional and product capabilities of our Edge Infrastructure products, ensuring customer trust (SLOs, security and performance) in our platformDrive recruiting of an outstanding team at all levels, including forming deep partnerships with talent and HR teamsBe an internal and external evangelist of our technology vision and cultureRun to business and technical targets with defined, transparent metricsHelp (senior) directors, senior managers, managers, and engineers grow their skills and experienceProduct and feature executionMeasure and improve the happiness of your engineering team members so that they can do the best work of their lives as part of EquinixImplement technical and process improvements that are causal to most critical needsParticipate and support a sense of psychological safety of the departmentDrive quarterly OKRs around company goalsDefine the agile project management processAccountable for product quality, security, and performanceWork across departments within the Digital Services BU, OCTO and CCROWork closely with senior leaders of Product Management to provide a consistent, successful interface between Engineering Development and Product ManagementRun product and customer experience performanceResponsible for leading and defining the E2E customer experience.  Identify and complete opportunities to simplify the customer experiencesDefine the expected financial, operational and customer experience performance of the Edge Services lines and ensure performance against these expectations.​Financial:  Monitor financial performance to ensure revenue and costs align to expected results​Operational:  Ensure products are being delivered and are performing within defined operational expectations.​Customer Experience:  Monitor, systematically assess, improve and simplify the overall customer and sales experience at both the Edge Services line levelsBackground and experienceLeadership qualitiesA transformational leader who excels at driving bold and meaningful change at scale and across multiple dimensions.Leads with a global mindset, across cultures, in a highly matrixed, relationship and consensus-driven environment.Cultivates Innovation: creates new and better ways for the organization to be successful. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.This position may be offered in other locations.
