You will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and be ready to roll your sleeves up and build from the ground up. This position is located in Japan and will be a key part of the Japan and APJ marketing leadership teams.About the RoleWorkday is looking for a Marketing Director to lead the company’s marketing efforts in Japan. This senior position is an excellent opportunity at a well known US-based software company that has a strong foothold in APJ.Specific Responsibilities include:Develop annual marketing plan for the region designed to create awareness and build pipeline for Workday’s solutionsIdentify audience segmentation strategy; vehicle and media mix recommendation, timing and forecast of resultsDrive integrated marketing campaigns from inception to optimization with a cross-functional corporate marketing team based in APJ and the US. This will include demand generation, brand awareness, events, field marketing, web/online marketing, communications and creative services.Work with appropriate groups (product marketing, sales and strategy) to develop appropriate messaging platforms, content, and stories from which to build campaignsManage and develop the Japan local marketing teamManage external agencies as requiredAnalyze campaign performance and make recommendations for optimization and future enhancementsManage project related budgets and take responsibility for tracking and monitoring campaign spend.Assess and execute on partner marketing opportunities, as available and as required.About YouPosition QualificationsResults-driven marketing professional with a proven ability to deliver commitments on time while achieving or exceeding business goals.Experience15+ years' successful related marketing experience, preferably in a SaaS, enterprise softwareKnowledge of the local enterprise software market, preferably within HR and/or Financial applicationsStrategically-minded but willing to be very hands on and get programs executedProven ability to effectively execute integrated, streamlined marketing programs that drive pipelineAbility to work with people at all levels of an organization including executive management, sales, and marketingA business degree or equivalentExperience working with a US-based company as an in-country marketing manager.Track record of team building and team leadership Willing to travel within APJ and to HQ in the USA occasionallyNative Level Japanese and Advanced English Language skills.LI#SG6Are you being referred to one of our roles?
