This team works to scale and strengthen our security platform to support all Workday customers with a rich feature set for Key Management, Certificate Authority, Privacy controls for Regulatory requirementsAbout the RoleAs the Director of Data Security and Privacy at Workday, you will lead and mentor engineering leaders to define and shape Workday's Data Security and Privacy solution for our customers. This role will lead the critical and growing areas of Security Products in the Data Security and Privacy space and play a key part in influencing, defining, and delivering the technical strategy and technical roadmap for the Workday's Cybersecurity & Trust organization.Responsibilities:Lead with curiosity and partner across Product and Technology to define and evolve the Data Security and Privacy Architecture Strategy and roadmap for Security ProductsLead and grow a passionate team of software engineering leaders and engineers across diverse geographies (NA and Ireland)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and drive the development and delivery of our Data protection solutionWork closely with product management, customer support, and other engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features and enhancementsBuild and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and industry experts to stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in this domainFind opportunities for innovation and process improvements to continuously enhance our Data Security and Privacy solutionEnsure that our Data Security and Privacy solution meets the highest standards of security, scalability, reliability, and performanceManage the budget, resources, and timelines for engineering projects related to our solutionEnsure high degree of efficiency and effectiveness of your teamChampion and influence innovation and ideasResponsible for the overall management of architecture and production triage and support teamPartner closely with Product Management and Technical DirectorsProvide insights and recommendations based on critical metricsProvide support on team-wide education and knowledge sharingRaise issues and trade-offs to Sr. Leadership and effectively communicate decisions that impact multiple teamsStrong executive presence with ability to lead through focused, high pressure scenariosFacilitate executive meetings, as well as cross team alignment meetingsResponsible for collaborating with cross-functional teamsPartner with Sr. Program Managers to track and report on the health and progress of key strategic initiativesAbout YouBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields10 years of experience in software development and engineering management roles, preferably in the Data Security and PrivacyStrong leadership and mentoring skills with a track record of building and leading successful engineering teamsExtensive experience in software development methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or KanbanExperience in working with large-scale enterprise systems and cloud-based environmentsStrong understanding of Key Management, Certificate and Secrets Management, Regulatory requirements, Privacy controlsExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues and roadblocksExperience working in a highly regulated industry and a good understanding of compliance and regulatory requirementsOther Qualifications:Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and facilitation skillsConsistent track record of leading complex cross-functional technical initiativesExperience communicating effectively to both technical and non-technical audiencesBackground in a fast-paced and complex environmentBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experienceA Master's Degree is a plusAt Workday, we live our core values every day: Employees, Customer Service, Innovation, Integrity and FunAre you being referred to one of our roles?
