We craft strategic conversations that draw complementary teams together, generating concrete insights about the future of Salesforce’s business environment and key strategic issues. We craft company strategy, build trusted customer and stakeholder relationships, and encourage the whole company to lead our customers into the future.The Futures Communications Specialist will help provide experienced input to futures content projects and strategic conversations to increase awareness, influence, and impact across internal and external audiences. They will handle content and lead design work and workflows with the team to ensure the speedy and successful delivery of assets. They will identify and develop communication opportunities and trends relevant for Salesforce and its key audiences.RESPONSIBILITIESLead strategies on creative ideation and story identification, and align to the Salesforce brand, elevating the Futures profile.Identify, develop, and pitch newsworthy stories from Futures research to help craft narrative and for new content experiences.Champion an impact-driven approach to Futures storytelling, supporting the development of content that demonstrates why Futures thinking matters.Advise on the technical advantages and limitations of various formats, styles, media, and methods of reproduction, recommending those that most optimally address the information objectives.Improve upon and or reinvent internal + external comms channels, including web, social, and proposed new channels (eg podcast, digital magazine, newsletter). Help to define, activate and measure influence objectives and efforts.Pitch creative methods to increase awareness and engagement through strategic content experiences.Support ways of building an inclusive culture that engages, encourages and promotes Futures work and team camaraderie through activities and regular cadence.Undertake a regular pause and reflect approach to creative communications reviews and propose strategic course corrections.REQUIREMENTS10+ years of experience at a design and/or innovation consultancy, creative agency, or in-house role at large tech company, or similar. Relevant advanced degree is preferred.Creative thinker that can tackle problems through innovative ideas and push through to bring those ideas to life. Hard-working curiosity regarding emerging trends and enthusiasm for using the design process to make businesses more effective, relevant, and successful.Work collaboratively, and lead conversation across all stakeholders to help strive to the detailed execution. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and helping other team members through it and enthusiastic about working in a culture of critique and iteration from all team members.Experience with many of the following: user experience, interaction design, communication design, experiential design, storytelling, storyboarding, typography, photography, video editing, copywriting, digital marketing standard processes, pitching ideas, addressing internal/external stakeholders, art and/or creative direction.Design tools (Adobe Suite, Apple design tools, Slides, Sketch, Invision).Portfolio: Extraordinary portfolio demonstrating broad ranging design and consulting experience, highlighting involvement, and process.
