You will play a key role in growing our communications function. You will help build and implement communications campaigns in support of our business objectives. You will help journalists and other key audiences understand why Slack is ground-breaking. You will help identify how, when and with which audiences to engage. You are confident, creative, self-starting, and a master storyteller!What you will be doingLeading all aspects of the creation of a local German half year communications plan in alignment with Sales and Marketing  Developing the strategy and leading the execution of local German communications programs and thought leadership efforts Conducting local German media relations (executive, business, product, etc.)Handling a local agency and leading that team to implement.  Driving evangelism of Slack’s narrativePartnering closely with global and international counterparts to ensure that efforts which work locally are incorporated in other local markets and regional, international and global communications initiativesPartnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Product and Engineering, Legal and others on cross functional initiativesConcept, write and edit communication materials (including briefing materials) Staff interviews and speaking opportunities What you should haveStrong media relations skills and a passion for communications (5-8 years experience)PR Agency/in-house enterprise software communications preferredCritical thinker; strong executive presence; ability to hold a “seat at the table” alongside other areas of the businessHunger for an exciting opportunity; ready to roll up your sleeves and dig in!CollaborativeA self-starter, able to run with projects with (at times) minimal directionPassionate about Slack and about learning about how work is evolvingExceptional writing skillsA strength in working cross-functionallyHighly organized, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines consistentlyCreative, thoughtful and passionate about storytellingSkilled at managing up, prioritizing and setting expectations as neededOpen and effective communicator; someone who is not afraid to throw out an idea or challenge an existing one to help advance Slack’s mission   Curious; eager to learn and open to trying new thingsFlexible, adaptable and open: able to juggle multiple projects at once and unphased by change whenever it happens (because in this environment things can and do often shift very quickly)AccommodationsIf you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via this Accommodations Request Form.Posting StatementAt Salesforce we believe that the business of business is to improve the state of our world.
