The Luxury Consignment Consultant is a key Outside Sales position and plays a pivotal role within our Sales organization at The RealReal! As a Luxury Consignment Consultant, you will drive both new and repeat business by leveraging your own network, building and nurturing relationships, and procuring consigned products from new and repeat consignors. Our ideal candidate has a proven track record for success in outbound direct sales roles, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven work environment. What You Get To Do Every Day
Consistently achieve or exceed monthly individual sales goals by building and nurturing your book of business
Provide an exceptional consignor experience by exceeding customer expectations and demonstrating an excellent knowledge of luxury goods
Manage the entire sales lifecycle including prospecting and applying the TRR Value Selling methodology to accelerate sales results
Demonstrate confidence with building new client relationships while growing existing ones
Develop creative strategies to build individual book of business across new and repeat consignors
Develop a continuous pipeline of sales leads through strategic outbound outreach
Capture meaningful customer data using Salesforce CRM for the purposes of connecting with the client, building relationships, and personalizing future client development opportunities
Engage with highly sophisticated clients and act as a trusted advisor to curate a luxury consignor experience
Set pricing expectations during in-home appointments, and stay up-to-date on resale trends
Carefully review and process all items for shipment to ensure everything is cataloged according to TRR’s quality standards
Work as a team player and partner with fellow colleagues, fostering open and constructive communication, to ensure a consistent exceptional experience and contribute to a positive working environment
Partner with Consignor Relations team to proactively resolve consignor issues or concerns
Regularly spend more than 50% in the field building client relationships and acquiring consigned items

What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements
5+ years direct sales experience with a proven track record for success in a performance-based sales or business development role
Existing book of clients
Advanced proficiency with technological tools including Salesforce or a CRM of similar caliber and G-suite
Ability to discuss and advise customers on general fashion trends and developments in the luxury market
Stellar communication skills – both written and verbal; Ability to effectively interface with sophisticated clientele and adapt communication style to suit the target audience
Proven ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues
Self-motivated, proactive, dedicated, and results-oriented with a strong ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Team-focused mentality with a passion for collaboration
High degree of business acumen and EQ
Highly coachable with an eagerness to learn
Ability to commit to 40 hours per week and occasionally work off-hours as required by clientele
Must live and regularly meet with clients in person anywhere within assigned territory
A current, valid driver's license (except in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Chicago markets)
Car insurance that meets or exceeds local requirements
A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Ability to travel more than 50% within designated market

Previous experience selling luxury goods and/or services
The expected salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
