Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.  Responsibilities Join a highly capable team to develop industry leading charging systems for Rivian electric vehicles   The Electrical Engineer will work with electric vehicle charging systems and EVSE equipment   The role will involve designs from both Tier 1 suppliers as well as internally developed products   Own the system level electrical architecture for DC fast charging products   Help design wiring and circuitry within high power cabinet and site system level   Ensure all relevant grid interface standards are being followed   Co-ordinated system level component specification and selection   Help test and characterize EV charging system in laboratory   Help debug grid interface issues and solve problems when they arise   Help with certification testing and problem solving.   Review designs and perform testing of equipment from Tier 1 suppliers   Qualifications Minimum BS Degree in Electrical Engineering  5+ years industrial experience  Experience with LV electrical systems and site designs  Experience design electrical systems with grid interface requirements   Experience with fuse and SPD co-ordination design  Experience with EV charging systems and associated standards  Knowledge of UL and FCC requirements  Comfortable working in lab with high power and high voltage circuitry  Good team player and communicator  Capable of reading and drafting single line diagrams   Comfortable and experience in fault finding and root cause analysis   Knowledge of power electronics circuits and concepts (preferred) Experience modeling distributed power systems (preferred) Experience working with custom power electronics design s and systems (preferred) Salary range for California Based Applicants: $150,000-$173,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
