What you’ll do
As the Senior Director, Global HR Operations & Technology, you will have the opportunity to lead DoubleVerify’s global HR operations and technology transformation, and redefine the existing strategy and operating model for HR processes, workflows, and systems. You will be accountable for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of HR processes and the rationalization of our HR tech stack (including the global implementation of a HRIS). This role requires a strategic thought leader with a hands-on approach, leading and facilitating the planning/execution of multiple HR functions; including critical short and long term projects. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, highly collaborative, accustomed to work in a fast-paced matrixed environment and has experience in designing efficient HR processes and operations. They would also have experience leading an organization through global transformation, a talent for analyzing complex data, and solving problems with data as justification and rationale.
This role is a people leader reporting to the VP, Talent Management, HR Operations & Technology. Your responsibilities will fall into these key areas:
Technical:
Formulate and drive the long-term vision and the strategy for the HR Operations and Technology COE with a focus on employee experience, efficiencies, SLAs, reporting, and accuracy. Continually assess the department’s long-term vision and short-term initiatives to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
Disrupt status quo and identify process and compliance improvement opportunities. Responsible for process improvement, including evaluating existing systems and procedures, providing recommendations for changes and improvements, and implementing changes (there will be some immediate process improvement required with a focus on scaling and moving to a global operating model). Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with teams on implementation of solutions.
Perform regular business process reviews to make ongoing suggestions and create action plans.
Own and execute a vision to iterate on our already robust investments in talent systems. Establish a strategy for our HR tech stack.
Project lead on global HR tech transformation and HRIS transition/implementation.
Build and scale infrastructure to support global HRIS administration, on-boarding, off-boarding, and other important moments along the employee lifecycle.
Drive the HR people analytics strategy and delivery. Analyze, design, and build new custom reports and dashboards relating to multiple objects and data transformations in partnership with in-house Business Intelligence team and HR peers.
Advise the VP and CHRO on both strategic and tactical matters as needed.
Own global, statutory compliance and SOX/public-ready/GDPR internal controls and processes for all people related matters. Ensures that all company related administrative forms, reports, processes, and audits are completed accurately, timely and in compliance with relevant local, state, federal and provincial regulations for audits and compliance.
In partnership with HR Compliance lead, ensure compliance with Company policy, procedures and employment laws. Manages the administration of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and corporate policies.
Stay abreast of relevant regulations and policy requirements, ensuring service processes are compliant.

Ensure the HR Operations and Technology vision for success is tightly aligned with internal stakeholders such as Finance, IT, and Legal as well as Talent Acquisition, Talent Analytics and Rewards, and Talent Management teams.
Ensure that effective relationships with appropriate internal partners (e.g., Payroll, finance, workforce management, Employment Law, Compliance, Property HR Leaders, etc.) and external vendors are established and leveraged to achieve stated objectives.
Partner with IT Shared Services to support the development of best-in-class HR self-service for all employees.
Partner with HR specialist functions/Centers of Excellence to ensure delivery against strategic business imperatives and deliver solutions to meet business needs.
Lead cross functional projects that transcend reporting lines, geographies and departments.
Use your global experience to lead and/or support the massive global expansion and footprint across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.

A proven background in managing an HR Operations function with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in the fields of HR Systems, Technology and Operations.

5+ years of management experience instilling trust and credibility with your team while guiding, developing, coaching, and managing individual and team performance. Successful track record in leading, developing, motivating and retaining a team.
A strategic thought leader with a hands-on approach that is ready and willing to get in the weeds and be a significant contributor to the work. Willing and capable of rolling up sleeves to get things done when necessary.
A leader with experience implementing a wide range of creative and thoughtful talent operations and HR systems strategies and programs in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.
A leader with transformation and change management experience as a strategic lead is essential, including implementation of systems and processes on a global scale.
An experienced leader who has implemented an HRIS, deployed manager self-service, and guarantees the efficiency of all HRIS functionality.
A leader with demonstrated experience providing analysis from disparate systems and providing concise and meaningful stories through the data, strong attention to detail/analytical acumen, and is comfortable working with large sets of data and interpreting where necessary.
A leader with strong project management, analytical, time management and prioritization skills.
A growth mindset, expertly balancing necessary controls and processes with speed and simplicity.
A leader with a strong work ethic that models a sense of urgency, curiosity, and desire to get things done.
Demonstrated track record of partnering with executives, managers, and employees regarding change management and structured processes on a global level.
A leader with excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and presentation skills, with innate ability to motivate and inspire teammates.
A leader with a continuous improvement mindset. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work output and decisions
A leader that has built and supported global talent teams in APAC and EMEA. Robust experience supporting a multi-country employee base.
A leader with proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Workday and MacOS highly preferred.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between [$129,000 - $245,000]. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
