This is a remote position, ideally for someone based in the US.
The Field Security team serves as the public representation of GitLab's internal Security function. Our vision is to be the leading example in collaborative and transparent Customer Assurance Programs. Our mission is to empower the GitLab community with confidence and trust that their data is protected with high levels of security assurance to drive revenue growth.
Working with both internal and external customers, we work with all GitLab departments to document requests, analyse the risks and provide remediation recommendations. This role will be primarily focused on Customer Assurance activities initially, with opportunities to work on projects in other areas over time.

Some of the things you'll be doing:
Take ownership of the Customer Assurance program, identify and implement improvements
Completing Security, Privacy, and Risk Management Questionnaires
Assisting in contract reviews
Participating in customer pre-sales meetings
Proactively maintain self-service security and privacy resources
Experience you need:
Strong written communication skills, experience in working on customer-facing documentation
Foundational knowledge across security
Ability to present and engage with customers with confidence
Experience responding to customer questionnaires
Ideally some experience reviewing contracts
