To continue our growth in Europe and specifically the UK market, we are looking to expand our team with a dynamic sales account manager.Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:The Sales Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding an existing customer base as well as identifying, developing new customers for Infinera in the UK.Major Account Management and Development Tasks Selling Infinera solutions in the UK with a focus on existing and new customer.Working together with the existing sales and channels team to help grow our footprint and success in the UK market, developing sales strategy, elaborating account plans for targeted customers.Manages revenue goals, forecasting and provides regular updates to senior sales/operations staff concerning account issues, financial status, etc.Evangelize Infinera's DWDM approach, drives new solutions and develops marketing tactics with partners.Maintaining high level/CxO contact into the targeted accounts : focus on the establishment and maintenance of strategic relationships.Stays abreast of current competition within assigned accounts and implements strategies to block competitive advancement.Ensures gathering of market intelligence, technology trends in the relevant market, analysing and communicating them to headquarter and the product units.Experienced in applying structured sales methodology (e.g. Value Selling, Challenger, TAS).Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:3-5 years’ sales experience in a service, IT or telecom providers market. Any experience with optical transmission is a bonus but absolutely not mandatory (e.g. Optical, SDH, WDM etc.)University degree in business, engineering, or other relevant disciplineKnowledge of the UK telecom and/or utility marketStrong selling and negotiation skills to close deals with excellent interpersonal skills at all levelsTeam player, with desire and ability to work on an international scale.Pragmatic doer and sound problem solverCultural fit into highly motivated and dynamic international sales teamTravel requirementsTravel mainly within UK and some limited travel within Europe#LI-GA1#LI-RemoteInfinera is an equal opportunity employer.
