Individual will liaison with business, product management and development teams to build technology strategies and roadmaps and convert them into robust world class solutions. Position is part of the Sales Engineering team focused on providing continuous innovations and enhancements to VMWare’s sales and marketing teams. Which means your work is essential for transforming everywhere.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?Work closely with business to understand their needs and formulate technology strategy to address the needs.Understand and leverage VMWare's technology stack of Salesforce.com, Marketo and related technologies.Liaison between VMWare business functions (sales, marketing) and development teams to translate strategies into robust solutions.Design and develop technical proposals, usability studies, software evaluations, technical qualifications and buy vs. build recommendations as needed.Serve as a technical advisor and influence VMWare in optimizing the use of our product suite to deliver solutions for business.Partner with various teams including product management, other IT teams to execute projects.Performance manage vendor partners to ensure high level of quality and efficiency of delivery.Demonstrate ability to adapt and learn emerging technologies in this space. Challenge self and team to innovate and keep up with market trends.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?Around 6 years of IT minimum 3 years on Salesforce.com platform.Experience in marketing automation tools like Eloqua, Marketo or Pardot.Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Salesforce Lightning, Community, and App CloudsExperience working with business to formulate technology strategy, roadmaps, and implementation plans.Salesforce implementation experience including strong working knowledge of Sales, Marketing and Customer Care capabilities within Salesforce.com.Experience leading Agile development teams to design and implement innovative solutions with a focus on adhering to standards, best practices, and code quality techniques.Excellent organization, verbal / written communication. Must be able to build relationships and communicate technology direction effectively to business, peers, developers, and other IT teams.Must be able to occasionally travel worldwide and flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications.What is the leadership like for this role?
