Our team of 30,000+ people working in 50+ locations worldwide is committed to creating an environment where great people want to work long term by living our values of passion, innovation, execution, teamwork, active learning and giving back.As a Professional Services Senior Consultant, you will engage in customer-facing work focused on the delivery of VMware solutions, empowering the software defined infrastructure strategy of our customers.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?The Senior Consultant will work within our highly talented and experienced VMware Professional Services Team to deliver creative solutions to our customers to help unlock the benefits of our VMware products.In this role, you will use your technical, consultative, communication, and leadership skills to support the successful implementation of VMware software solutions in a variety of industry verticals and customer environments.You will have the opportunity to work directly with the client and other team members on the day-to-day tasks involved with the solution delivery, including, but not limited to: planning, customer assessments, system configuration, testing, training, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.You will use your in-depth knowledge of VMware products including vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX, Horizon and/or vRealize (Aria Suite) along with your experience to become a trusted advisor to your customers and colleagues while, maintaining subject matter expertise in your chosen field of speciality.What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?Conduct your consulting engagements per VMware’s Consulting Methodology (Plan, Execute, Test, Document, Knowledge Transfer)Provide feedback on existing documentation and assist in the continuous improvement of consulting tools and knowledgeCommunicate across several levels of the customer’s hierarchy using your outstanding communication and interpersonal skillsCreate Intellectual Property and custom artifacts with an innovative mindsetWhat is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?The hiring manager for this role is Gary Doyle, Senior Manager - Professional Services Delivery, who is based in Melbourne.  Gary is seasoned delivery and people manager, with over 20 years’ experience in professional services delivery, solution development and management roles.Where is this role located?This role is based out of VMware’s Melbourne or Sydney offices and open to candidates in the surrounding area.
