We are protecting over 1 billion consumers around the world and have amassed one of the largest consumer messaging threat databases in the world.We are seeking a proactive, creative and knowledgeable Email Security Architect to create and manage large scale email MTA platforms that will provide email services to some of the largest service providers and enterprises in the world. The role will demand interaction with several internal engineering teams as well as customers at the Operations, Network, Project Management and Messaging Director level.The role encompasses a variety of technical responsibilities, some customer facing and some not. These responsibilities include deployment of new MTA environments, creation of new policies, diagnosing issues with current environments and managing customer-specific projects. You will work with Cloud Abuse Operations to ensure policies are behaving as expected, gather ideas for and implement new policies.Your day-to-day Identify, analyze and research threats and trends for internal and external communicationLiaise with Cloud Abuse Operations and Infrastructure Architecture teams to ensure consistent service deliveryLiaise with Cloudmark and Proofpoint teams to influence the value of Cloudmark solutionsLiaise with other Cloudmark departments (Products, Engineering, Support) around field priorities and ongoing product roadmap prioritiesWhat you bring to the teamExperience implementing messaging security products at scaleExperience adapting security solution technology to satisfy customer technical requirementsKnowledge of Email and Mobile Messaging security issuesUnderstanding of Anti-Spam/messaging technologiesExperience performing threat data analysis using Splunk or similar data analysis toolsProven customer-facing professional services role at a security solution provider or mobile network provider, or internet / hosting service providerFast and Eager learner – seeks out knowledge rather than waiting for knowledge to be presentedPassionate about providing excellent solutions and services to customersExcellent listening skillsExcellent presentation skillsAbility to self-manage time and juggle multiple prioritiesAbility to interact with customers in a consultative selling styleWhy ProofpointAs a customer focused and driven-to-win organization with leading edge products, there are many exciting reasons to join the Proofpoint team.
