We are now looking for a Distinguished Engineer to lead DPU hardware and software codesign. As a member of the High-Performance Computing Software development team, you will be responsible for codesigning and implementing new protocols and algorithms that enable the best performance possible on NVIDIA networked supercomputers and datacenters with a particular emphasis on advancing the state-of-the-art in DPU networking technology. This role offers you an excellent opportunity to design and deliver production-grade solutions, get hands-on with ground-breaking networking technology like Bluefield DPUs, and work closely with technical leaders solving some of the biggest challenges in machine learning, cloud computing, and system co-design.What you'll be doing:The team is responsible for codesigning and developing high-performance communication middleware for a diversity of high-performance applications running in production on the world’s largest supercomputers, data centers, and clouds. The work environment is dynamic and challenging; we are innovating and inventing software products at the forefront of technology in terms of performance, scalability, and features. In addition, our team works closely with networking chip design teams to codesign next-generation HPC infrastructure in order to meet the demands of current and emerging HPC and AI workloads in data centers and in public clouds.What we need to see:14+ years experience in Programming in C/C++10+ years experience in Linux environment and toolsDeep knowledge of Networking Protocols InfiniBand, EthernetExpert in computer architecture and operating systemsExperience in performance optimizationsBS in computer science/software engineering (or equivalent experience)Ways to stand out from the crowd:You have positive attitude and work well with others.Demonstrated use of creative ideas, providing solutions to challenging problems.PhD in CS/EE/Math/PhysicsKnowledge in MPI and high-performance computing.Background in RDMA technologyExperience with DPUs and/or other network offloads e.g. SHARPOpen Source Software ContributorWith competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
