NVIDIA is looking to hire government affairs professionals based in Washington, DC. These are lead positions for interface to the White House, House & Senate and offices such as Commerce, DoJ, FTC. This office is the primary direct messaging vehicle for NVIDIA policy positions into these institutions. It will report directly to the VP of External affairs who runs worldwide government affairs reporting to NVIDIA’s General counsel. In this role you will be working directly with NVIDIA business unit leads, legal, finance, PR, Sales, Events & manufacturing and to engage the White House & Legislative staffers, & agencies on NVIDIA business issues, policy directions and technology education.This role is suited for those that have extensive experience in Washington, DC engaging with legislators & staffers in the House, Senate & White House, and regulatory agencies such as NHTSA, NIH, FDA, departments such as Commerce, FTC, DoJ, associations such as SIA, ESA. Also this role will be involved in the administration of retained DC consulting & lobby companies that have deep expertise in US government engagements.What you'll be doing:Develop policy positions & evangelize concepts in these various entities listed above to successful outcomes.Assist and lead NVIDIA leadership to develop strategies to accomplish business unit & corporate objectives.Engage and assist field sales leadership to help with strategy development & to engage the federal government where necessary including NSF, DARPA, DOE, NIH etc.Engage with WWFO, Corporate communications & events to drive GTC DC objectives.Communicate to NVIDIA leadership DC issues, give status updates with assessments of relevance to NVIDIA topically and as new events occur.Educate NVIDIA leaders on legislative processes and relevant political processes/events.Assist in the staffing for expansion of GA efforts into White House, NSC, Commerce, DoJ, FTC, FDA etc as time unfolds.Represent NVIDIA interests & messaging/positioning at association meetings, think tank organizations & in various working groups.What we need to see:BS/BA (or equivalent experience)10+ overall years in DC working in the White House, Legislative offices, corporate Government Affairs roles, Think tanks or associations or other US Government organizations.3+ years of management experience.MS in policy and JD helpful but not required.With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers; we have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us and, due to unparalleled growth, best-in-class teams are rapidly growing.
