We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job SummaryIn this role you will perform preventive and reactive maintenance related to the infrastructure, manage sub-contractors and form an active part of a successful team that is committed to success.ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Data Center Operations Engineering Supervisor, perform preventive and reactive maintenance related to the infrastructurePerform daily inspection site roundsUtilize the maintenance management system to ensure accuracy of data at all timesMonitor alarm systems and react to any alarms raisedPerform small repairsManage sub-contractors and ensure they follow rules set by EquinixPerform and follow up visual checksOn-Call service will be required (1 week/2 month)Understand, apply and enforce health and safety rulesQualificationsElectrical or Mechanical (Plumbing, Air conditioning or similar) Diploma with 2 years of experienceExperience with critical infrastructureBe able to perform small repairs (Electrical, mechanical and plumbing)Able to read electrical/mechanical drawingsFamiliar with computing/electronics tools to monitor the site (BMS, displays, etc...)Familiar with Office Pack (Word, Excel, etc...)Fluent in German and English (written/spoken)Being able to communicate in an efficient way, even during stressful situations, to provide clear written reports and establish clear processesFlexible (On-Call)Driving licenseEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
