We want someone who can drive real change in an organisation and is willing to take the track less traveled if it's the right thing to do.About YouThis role will report directly to the VP of Financials & Spend Development Engineering. As a leader of this team, some of your key responsibilities will be to champion an outcome-based culture, challenge and grow both the leadership team and the technical teams to the next level of maturity along with delivering key features for our customers.You will partner with product and tools leaders to address key technical challenges and provide solutions to support our ever-increasing customer base.You will have an immediate impact on offering solutions that ensure Workday is the Financials solution of choice to drive digital transformation.Basic Qualifications15+ years leading a technical team and/or experience with managing software engineering teams8+ years in software development15+ years of experience of Leadership across geographically dispersed teams15+ years of experience working in Agile software development environment demonstrating detailed understanding of software development lifecycle from conception to deliveryBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceOther QualificationsStrong communication skills, analytical skills, and a detailed understanding of product developmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and facilitation skillsConsistent track record of leading complex multi-functional technical initiativesExperience building credibility and trust with hardworking software engineers, peers, and multi-functional teams based on proficiencySolid communicator to both technical and non-technical audiencesBackground in a fast-paced and complex environmentAs a federal contractor, Workday is requiring all new hires to verify that they are fully-vaccinated against COVID-19 within 72 hours of beginning employment with Workday, consistent with applicable law. Workday is an equal opportunity employer. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
