The role will also support the Salesforce’s preparation of quarterly external financial reports. The candidate ideally has direct experience with SEC and US GAAP technical accounting and disclosure requirements, and must be capable of connecting with senior management and senior members of Salesforce’s external audit firm. The ideal applicant will be a “quick study;” be viewed as a strong “go to” leader; have excellent interpersonal competence; and demonstrate skills to handle the SEC filing process, multitask opposing priorities, build positive relationships and trust simultaneously and be secure in communicating in front of an audience. This individual will also be a liaison among a mix of associates of the CFO’s global finance and operations organization, and will be involved in several initiatives to optimize and improve Salesforce’s financial reporting and infrastructure.Responsibilities:Provide technical accounting analysis and document conclusions around accounting positions such as accounting for Salesforce's strategic investment portfolio. Drive conclusion of accounting treatments with internal teams and partner with external auditors with respect to accounting conclusions reached Ensure internal controls are current and are performed and operating effectively on a timely basis. Assist in the development of internal control remediation plans when needed and assist management and internal teams with the remediation activitiesAssist and collaborate in the SEC reporting processes including the preparation of disclosure schedules, drafting of Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, quarterly press releases and any other ad hoc filings that are required, in compliance with all SEC and US GAAP disclosure requirementsBoost the coordination of all internal and external audits including the resolution of open comments and findingsOther duties and special projects as assignedExperience/Skills Required: Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
