Role Summary
As the Investment Portfolio Lead, you will have the opportunity to shape Rivian's global investments portfolio, optimizing risk-adjusted yield and liquidity. Your expertise will help us build best-in-class processes for this function. This position offers the chance to work in our Irvine or Palo Alto offices, reporting to the Senior Director of Treasury.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a global investment management strategy, enhancing portfolio returns while maintaining liquidity.
Implement system solutions to boost in-house trading capabilities and automate reporting.
Manage our money market fund portfolio and other in-house investment solutions.
Establish custody bank accounts to support our global investment infrastructure.
Select, partner with, and oversee external investment managers for separately managed accounts.
Ensure compliance with investment policy, recommend updates as necessary, and manage portfolio risk and maturity profile.
Prepare internal and external investment reports and audit deliverables.
Develop and maintain interest income forecast, and perform variance analysis for actuals.
Ensure compliance with SOX controls, updating controls to reflect any process changes.
Collaborate with other treasury teams on process improvements, system implementations, and other ad hoc projects.
Qualifications
5-7 years of experience in corporate treasury functions managing cash & investment portfolios.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or similar fields. An MBA or CFA is a plus.
Deep understanding of various investment vehicles, interest rate environments, credit, and market risk.
Proven experience in establishing new functions and setting up processes. Experience with ICD, Clearwater, and other treasury management systems is a plus.
Team player with high integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multitask effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced Excel skills and robust modeling and financial valuation skills.
Benefits Summary
Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
Salary Range for California Based Applicants Irvine, CA based applicants $121,000 - $139,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
