As a key part of the Digital Solutions team, we are investing in present and future capabilities by building a new intelligent platform that uses AI/ML to derive data insights and features like sentiment analytics. Autodesk is seeking an experienced Principal Machine Learning Engineer with a proven track record overseeing machine learning projects at all stages, from initial conception to implementation and optimization. You will play a key role in building models and mentoring the team to deliver high-quality AI solutions that will improve internal employee and customer experience. This is an individual contributor role that carries a substantial level of influence and responsibility.ResponsibilitiesResearch, design and building machine learning and deep learning solutions to new problemsLead machine learning based research with cross-functional teams to discover new business opportunitiesAdvocate and implement the best practices, in terms of knowledge, technology and process, to ensure the team is working effectively to deliver customer value while also constantly learning to remain up to date in a rapidly changing domainCollaborate effectively with product management, engineering, design and other stakeholders to deliver products that have a quantifiable impact on Autodesk’s businessDevelop high quality, secure, stable code for use,  making it easier for other developers to maintain, enhance, reuseEnsure new code conforms to established coding standards and meets design specificationParticipate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to standardsMentor and provide direction to less experienced software engineers regarding company development processes and product architecture, at senior levelsResearch external best practices and emerging technologies for possible incorporation into Autodesk products/platforms.Participate in daily team scrum meeting and sprint planning sessions and help improve team velocity Minimum QualificationsA degree in a related field (Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a quantitative-related field) or equivalent professional experienceProven track record overseeing machine learning projects at all stages, from initial conception to implementation and optimisation8+ years’ experience in developing and shipping machine learning, natural language processing or deep learning modelsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsCollaborative, respectful, and inclusive engineer who is interested to work in a diverse and global teamPreferred QualificationsBachelors/MS/Ph.D. in a related field (Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a quantitative-related field)Experience in PythonExperience in deep learning libraries, such as PyTorch and TensorFlowExperience working with platforms like SagemakerExperience working with AWS services like ECR, S3 & LambdaExperience in data preprocessing and building ML pipelinesStrong communicator who can explain complex topics to both a technical and non-technical audienceExcellent communication skills, project management skills, and technical management skills #LI-DA1At Autodesk, we're building a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture to give more people the chance to imagine, design, and make a better world.
