You will be responsible for managing cross-functional programs, projects, and initiatives, driving the process between Product and Engineering and Cross BU initiatives, and applying your SAFe Agile experience. This role will allow you to use your skills and expertise to make a significant impact on the success of the organization.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?Within the first 30 days of employment: Familiarize yourself with key members of the team, primary cross-functional groups, high priority initiatives, and become comfortable with the operating cadence of the organization and general program and release management activities . Within 60 days of employment: Become familiar with VMware's SEBU SP portfolio, release and launch process, and get familiar with cross-functional teams.Within 180 days of employment: Own the operational aspects and daily management of the VMware’s SEBU SP portfolio operations and programs. maintain program dashboards and metrics.Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure alignment and visibility into program status, risks, and issues.Within 6 months to 1 year, you will be expected. Create and manage cross-functional programs, projects, and initiatives, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards, while driving the process between Product and Engineering and Cross BU initiatives.Develop and implement program management best practices, methodologies, and tools, using your SAFe Agile experience, to ensure effective program management and continuous improvement.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?As a Technical Program Manager with a Telco background, you will be responsible for:Managing cross-functional programs, projects, and initiatives, driving the process between Product and Engineering and Cross BU initiatives, and applying your SAFe Agile experience.Developing and implementing program management best practices, methodologies, and tools, using your SAFe Agile experience, to ensure effective program management and continuous improvement.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure smooth program delivery.Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure alignment and visibility into program status, risks, and issues.Developing and maintaining program dashboards and metrics, using data-driven insights to identify areas of improvement and make data-based decisions.Because of this the ideal candidate is expected to: Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.8 to 12 years of experience in program management in the Telco industry with SAFe Agile experience.Strong understanding of program management best practices, methodologies, and tools.Experience managing cross-functional programs, projects, and initiatives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.What is the leadership like for this role? The team structure is designed to encourage cross-functional collaboration and innovation, while also emphasizing the importance of driving the process between Product and Engineering and Cross BU initiatives. This role will report to the Director, NPI Programs. The NPI Team is part of VMware’s Product Management Team responsible for building products, services, and solutions for VMware’s Telecommunications customers. Where is this role located?Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager.
