The Information Architect focuses on the architecture and design of connected enterprise capabilities and solutions that drive business outcomes with thought leadership, innovative approaches, and modern patterns.With that focus, the Information Architect understands the business strategy and partners with senior business leaders, key stakeholders, and technology teams to define the target state of business process flows and solutions that power the customer journey. The Information Architect excels at using data to inform leaders on interim steps to achieve the desired target state.What this role isn’t:This role is not one where the architect is removed from the delivery process and only provides input when asked. The expectation is that the architect is actively collaborating with senior business leaders as well as technology delivery teams to create an educated point of view and ratify its adoption with stakeholders across functional areas. The architect solves problems before they occur with solid designs that are comprehensive across functional areas and business units. The role is accountable for the information architecture governance of strategic applications, ensuring their practical alignment with the information strategy in support of the strategic business outcomes and in partnership with the Enterprise Data Governance Council and Enterprise Architecture.What you’ll bring to the table:A successful and impactful Information Architect effectively translates business strategy into architectural artifacts that express a roadmap for process design and technical delivery that meets the business strategy. The architect is a trusted thought leader in two or more data technology domains and will offer consultative services to business and IT teams on how to deliver capabilities using modern patterns, approaches, processes, and tools. Using those technical abilities paired with your interpersonal skills enables you to be part of driving the success of the organization.Some details about what you’ll do:Identify the path, flows, and gaps in data as it exists in business processes, solutions, and the overall customer journey to remove friction to achieve the target state experienceCollaborate on strategy map, diagrams, and reference architecture for the enterprise data ecosystem that expresses how IT capabilities align to the larger business strategyBe able to describe primary business functions of the enterprise as they relate to process and data from a customer-facing, vendor-facing, partner-facing, and business operations standpointSupport governance routines for enterprise compliance, security, and operations as it pertains to data and informationEnable traceability of enterprise strategic goals to data and process capabilities that enable ongoing governancePossess an overarching and innate desire to do the right thingRequirements:10+ years of experience in senior technology-based data, architecture, delivery, or similar rolesStrong business acumen, relationship building, and superlative communication skills which can tailor messaging for difference audiences, breaking down complex technical issues into business languageExperience with business architecture principles and how they apply to driving business outcomesUnderstanding of architectural frameworks and related operating models with ability to synthesize the right approach for the domain based on disparate inputThrives when challenged; able to backup viewpoints with facts and achieve compromise.Demonstrates strong leadership skills to empower employees and IT teams to remain on task and meet deadlines.Familiarity with cloud-native applications, deployment patterns, and operationsCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
