Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to join our Development Operations team in Belgrade. The team consists of 6 colleagues and is reporting to the Development Operations Manager. We have a great skill set in Oracle and MongoDB and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in SQL.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 5+ years of Hands-on experience in SQL Server database administration3+ years of database experience in Cloud (AWS/Azure/Oracle)3+ years of experience in automation of database infrastructure deployment and maintenance using Terraform or similar toolsExposure of open source tools & comfortable learning new technologies & conducting proof of conceptsScripting experience (bash, python, Ansible, chef) or any other industry standardsPerformance tuning of database serversIt would be great if you also had . . . Hands-on experience across different database platforms such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and OracleWhat will you be doing in this role?Maintain current knowledge on trends and best practices in open source database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB and OracleAnalyze and resolve application availability and performance issues related to database infrastructure in coordination with application, computer, and incident management teams. Find root cause of database infrastructure issues and recommend corrective actionsDevelop and implement database patching strategy to keep environment secure, reliable, and highly availableAssist infrastructure project teams in scoping, design, and project work estimations and actively participates in project meetings and provides input to design and implementation of database solutionsCollaborate with Cyber Security and ensure databases meet modern security standards and identify solutions for remediation of vulnerabilities in Database infrastructureParticipate in 24/7 support by acting as an escalation point for any production issues and provide mentorship and guidance to team colleaguesAbout the Team  DBA team covers 24/7 support across the globe: India, Europe and USA.
