We are looking for a Product Sales Manager - Books to join our Academia and Government –Segment Sales division. This role will support the southern U.S. to include Georgia, Louisiana. Mississippi, Alabama and Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to join Clarivate and work with industry recognized services including ProQuest eBook Central, Rialto, and Oasis. We would love to speak with you if you have experience selling into higher education or academic sectors.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments At least 2 years selling into the higher education or academic sector.At least 2 years' experience in new business development, cross selling or/and up selling.Proven record of initiating and managing complex, high value accounts and generating new business.Proven experience in forecasting and pipeline managementDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and related software relevant to the role.It would be great if you also had . . . At least 3 years in relationship managementStrong sales negotiation skills at every level of client organizations, while influencing and selling to executive-level decision makers.Academic library sector or publishing experienceWhat will you be doing in this role?Focusing. Focus on new business, uncovering opportunities, creating target lists, prospects, and participating in territory planning while engaging the Account Manager, Content and Workflow Strategies Consultants and Client Relationship Manager as appropriate.Qualifying. Qualify top opportunities based upon key initiatives and product roadmap driven from sales leadership for the product sales team.Leveraging. Leverage unique relationships with influencers and decision makers to support lead generation and sales activity.Engaging. Engages with colleagues across the Clarivate business to seek out relevant cross-product solutions.Working. Working with regional sales director on sales forecasting and pipeline managementAbout the Team The Product Sales Manager works with print books and eBook subscriptions as well as acquisition platforms and solutions selling into academic and government libraries.The internal stakeholders are regional sales VP, Director, Account Management Team, Collection and Workflow Consultants Renewals Team, Books Product Team, Marketing and Customer EducationThe external stakeholders are librarians, library directors and consortia.The team are a group of highly skilled and experienced sales professionals with backgrounds in content aggregation, higher education, corporate librarians, and direct publishers. The team culture is fun, collaborative, energetic, data driven, inquisitive and supportive. We are dedicated to our customers and helping them solve their collection development queries and concerns.
