In this position, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, scaling and operating innovative end to end machine learning solutions on our petabyte scale Data Center Infrastructure Monitoring (DCIM) IoT platform.The qualified candidate will have hands on experience on developing machine learning models, data pipelines and operationalizing them at scale. Besides, will have working knowledge of most common machine learning techniques and their application using large data sets.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and train scalable machine learning models leveraging industry standard frameworkDesign, Develop and Deploy secure data pipeline at scaleWork on data exploration, data cleansing, ingestion, data wrangling and feature engineeringWork with Data Scientist to develop and operationalize machine learning models at scale in productionPartner with Global Operations Engineering team and Data Scientists to measure and optimize model performance pre-production and post-productionDevelop test cases and automation for machine learning model and data pipelinesAPI enable machine learning modelsDefine design patterns for integrating machine learning models with data pipelinesParticipate in design and code reviewsEvaluate and recommend Machine Learning frameworkExplore new technology shifts, evaluate and recommend best practices related to AI and machine learningQualificationsMasters with proven years of experience and Bachelor with proven years of experience in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fieldsExperience in large scale data processing frameworks e.g. Map Reduce and StreamingProven years of hands on experience in languages such as Java or Python and SQLExperience in machine learning libraries and frameworks such as Apache Spark, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etcProven years of experience of SQL databases such as OracleProven years of hands on experience on Big Data/Machine Learning services on cloud providers such as AWS or GCPProven years of applied machine learning experience in supervised and unsupervised learning techniques with high dimensionality data using algorithms such as multiple linear regression, logistics regression, deep neural network, k mean clustering, k nearest neighbor etcExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to read and present academic papersDesiredExperience with reinforcement learningKnowledge of data center mechanical cooling systems domain with focus on energy optimizationKnowledge data center domainSuccessful candidate willHave a mindset to put “Customer at center of everything”Be an “Energy Supplier” who gets the team around them to excelBe a team player with “We before Me” attitude and is persistent, creative and driven to get results relentlesslyDemonstrate “Step up Speak Up” value to challenge the status quo, when neededExhibit a high level of curiosity, growth mindset and will keep abreast of the latest trends & technologies to “Find a Better Way” and “Keep Growing”Show pride of ownership and strive for excellence in undertakingsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
