Director, Product Marketing – SmartBiz and MDU Solutions

This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.We are looking for a Director, Product Marketing, to drive market expansion in Small Business and Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) solutions. Calix SmartBiz is a fully integrated, all-in-one managed service solution delivering small business productivity that allows businesses to focus on their core business objectives, while efficiently scaling installation, security, management, and customer support for the service provider. Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) residential apartment buildings - and mixed residential and business multi-tenant buildings - require a complementary set of residential, business, and community Wi-Fi services with unique business opportunities for the BSP and property management companies.Responsibilities and Duties:Responsible for all solution positioning and marketing programs for the Small Business and MDU solutions; act as subject matter expert (SME) for the team.Partner with a wide array of Calix teams to define and market solutions that combine platforms, software, Wi-Fi networking systems, customer support, services, and success teams.Provide messaging and buyer journey; develop campaign stories strategy, objectives, segmentation and prioritization.Own persona marketing objectives and messaging (e.g. priorities, values, messaging).Working closely with content strategists, drive the creation of compelling marketing collateral, including webpages, solution briefs, white papers, blogs, and customer presentations.Create recommended best practices and go-to-market business models for BSP Small Business services.Produce sales enablement materials for our global sales force.Create and present presentations to customers and industry events.Qualifications:Calix requires all employees based in North America who will work onsite at a Calix office, attend in-person meetings, and/or travel on behalf of Calix to be fully vaccinated. Calix will consider requests for reasonable accommodation as required under applicable law.The Director of SmartBiz and MDU solutions must be motivated by and have a proven track record of success in a fast-paced new product introduction role, where the goal is certain, but the path and solution details reveal themselves throughout the marketing journey.The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing professional and solutions evangelist that thrives on the challenge of leading companies into new business opportunities.This marketing leader must be a hands-on player/coach – personally developing compelling marketing assets and leading customer engagements while also building a small cohesive team of product marketing managers and coaching them to greater individual and team success.7-10 years relevant solution or product marketing experience – MBA preferred.Experience working for or marketing solutions to broadband service providers.Knowledge of the networking and business needs of small businesses.Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into clear benefits.Thorough understanding of marketing and launch processes for hardware and software.Strong written communication and public speaking/presentation skills.Demonstrated track record of success in a fast paced, collaborative work environment.Able to support periodic bursts of travel up to 20% of time.Location: This is a remote position that could be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. #LI-Remote
