As part of the Employment Legal Team, you will play a meaningful role in ensuring that Workday continues to be a welcoming environment where a diverse group of people, experiences, and perspectives thrive.About the RoleThe Employment Paralegal will partner with People & Purpose (HR), Finance, and other business functions to support our core values of innovation, customer service, integrity, and profitability, while ensuring that Workday maintains a culture of fairness, belonging, and fun for its employees. Workday is seeking a talented paralegal who can apply discerning judgment when partnering on complex projects and supporting global litigation matters.ResponsibilitiesSupport outside counsel engagement and ensure efficient usage in accordance with internal policies, including legal invoice processing, submission of employment law claims, etc.Maintain comprehensive litigation and pre-litigation case files and prepare monthly/quarterly reports to advise internal clients of anticipated exposurePartner with People & Purpose on Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), including Affirmative Action, EEO-1 and Vets 4212 reporting along with OFCCP compliance activities (e.g., hiring, outreach, training, etc.)Conduct proactive audits of various processes and regulatory requirements to mitigate risk, including identification of particularly complex areas (e.g. government contractors) or regions (e.g. California)Maintain awareness of international, federal, state and local legislation applicable to a global employer, track relevant legislation, and create compliance profile for advising internal clients of associated lift for compliance and risksSupport global employment litigation and pre-litigation matters, including management of legal hold processes, e-discovery, subpoena responses, associated systems, etc.Draft and revise correspondence, presentations, policies, separation agreements, and employment-related documentsAbout YouBasic Qualifications4+ years of proven experience as an employment paralegal managing litigation and compliance mattersSolid understanding of basic or common US Employment Laws (ex. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
