Providing the technical depth and breadth needed to collaborate strategically with the entire partner ecosystem to identify, develop, design, accelerate, and close deals. Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 12 months you will work toward completing?The primary objective of this position is to co-develop a partner and end-user strategy for the territory of Raleigh to cover in tandem with your Sales Partner and hit bi-annual revenue targets. You will be accountable for quarterly booking targets for selling VMware products (perpetual and SaaS) across compute, network, storage, security, datacenter management, and cloud services, along with packaged services, and educational offerings.The SE seeks to build deep, consultative relationships with their customer, effectively becoming a trusted advisor. The SE trusted advisor is ideally positioned to understand the customer's high-level business objectives, and match these to VMware solutions to satisfy the business and technical requirements not only for the customer current state but future state architectures.The SE is comfortable presenting VMware’s value proposition, technologies, strategy, and product roadmaps to all levels at their customer including executives, technical management, and technical engineers.Establish solid working relationships with VMware specialist teams, sales leadership, professional services, leading VARs, Distributors, Corporate Resellers, OEMs, and Cloud/Hosting Partners.What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?Travel 40-60% (post covid) of the time meeting with and presenting to current and prospective customers and for internal and customer events/meetings.Providing the technical knowledge to help customer understand how VMware can help them meet their business goals.Design, develop and sell solutions built around the VMware portfolio to solve our Customer Business goals.Coordination within an internal set of multi-functional teams such as Client Execs, Product Specialists, Inside Reps, Field Marketing, Professional Services, and Channel Management and external partners as described previously.Accurately monitor and report on specific products revenue, PSO bookings and new accounts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis via Salesforce.comThe territory will be comprised of select strategic accounts where VMware will be emphasizing consumption and outcome-focused selling including vision casting.Collaborates and builds relationships with direct team. Contributes to team decision making.Acts as a working team leader for cross-functional groups.What is the leadership like for this role?
