We collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams, as equals, to provide optimal production services to our customers. We believe that Engineering teams should be able to deploy whatever, whenever with confidence, via lightweight processes with minimal barriers.You will be a part of a motivated and talented team of Engineers and work with modern cloud, container and monitoring technologies, solve challenging problems and help build efficient platforms for managing large volumes of data. You will delight customers by providing reliable, performant Skyline services and contribute to shaping the Site Reliability functions for Skyline Product.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?Within the first 30 days, you will work with Skyline SRE, Developers, IT & Production Engineering teams and familiarize yourself with Skyline deployment design and the internal processes for CICD, Monitoring and Incident Management.Within the first 90 days, you will become competent in setting up CICD pipelines, Monitoring and Alerting, Load testing and Incident ManagementWithin the first 180 days, you will lead troubleshooting sessions, participate in Incident Post Mortems, contribute to Infosec & Compliance activities, independently perform Load testing on Skyline Services, design and setup new pipelines and build automation tools.Within the first 360 days, you will take ownership of SRE activities - Monitoring, Load Testing, CICD Pipeline build, Capacity planning and Infosec activities for a feature of but not limited to Skyline.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?Ensure our product meets the availability and performance goals by developing tools, runbooks, automatic remediation and solid failover strategies.Work with Kubernetes, AWS, Helm charts and Jenkins. Setup, troubleshoot & optimize CICD pipelines to make them reliable, secure and performant.Perform load testing for each release of SkylineCollaborate extensively with partner teams for cross-team technical tasks. Bring in innovative ideas and look for opportunities to improve engineering processesEnsure that production SLAs are defined, measured, monitored and maintainedEvaluate, build and modify automation for deploying and operating production servicesParticipate/Lead Post Mortems for incidents Participate in on-call rotation.What is the leadership like for this role?
