As the Senior Solution Engineer, this position is about driving our Enterprise customer’s strategies and aligning them with our VMware Portfolio. This role requires a high percentage of client-facing time and limited hands-on.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing regularly?You will be the champion across the IT landscape sharing the story of how virtualization and cloud computing can help our enterprises achieve their goals. You will be experienced in engaging and creating relationships with Technology Leaders and senior IT decision-makers, including CIOs. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of what motivates senior leaders and a strategic approach to enterprise account IT pre-sales.You will collaborate closely with your Accounts Executive’s sales team and orchestrate the specialist teams. The Lead Solution Engineer is a high-impact, visible role responsible for ensuring pervasive enterprise adoption of VMware software and solutions.Success in the Role: What performance outcomes will you work toward completing over the first 6-12 months?The key to success will be:Gaining knowledge of our products, solutions & their positioningUnderstanding overall VMware Vision and StrategyUnderstanding how we can help customers move into the multi-cloud world & the unique value they can get from our solutions & services.Working with an experienced colleague to ease the onboarding processAfter that:Understanding and supporting customer's high-level business challengesMatching VMware solutions to customer's business and technical requirementsIdentifying customer projects for VMware solutionsBecoming a trusted advisor within the handled accountsDefining and implementing a go-to-market strategy for each account to ensure the proper adoption of VMware solutionsEducating & keeping the customers updated on the VMware Value PropositionVisualizing the VMware vision, design, and product roadmaps to executives and technical managementWhat is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?The role reports to the VMware Solution Engineering Israel organization. As a long-term leader in VMware, they have extensive experience in Enterprise, Global, and Commercial customer areas. The team consists of Solution Engineers focusing on customers across various industries. The team’s vision is built upon having a clear idea of what we want to achieve in the industry and how we want to help our customers get there.
