We value having a range of backgrounds and perspectives on our team.Responsibilities:Share software architecture best practices with developers and create opportunities for continuous learningBecome an expert on existing systems and technology currently in use at the companyPropose improvements in efficiency, security and performanceIdentify logical components and encourage clean interfaces between them via APIs, event streams or other mechanisms that encourage decoupling and separation of concernsProvide detailed documentation and architectural diagramsPresent technical detail to collaborators, including non-technical users and senior management, and explain benefits of architectural decisionsWork with teams across domains, breaking silos, encouraging collaboration & establish a long-term vision for an integrated marketing technology stackQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science | Master’s degree preferred.12 years proven track record in a lead technical role.Deep understanding of common software design patterns.Expertise in web application technology, including Java, REST, GraphQL, React and Angular.Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database systems as well as big data technology, such as Hadoop and Spark.Knowledge of messaging and event streaming solutions, such as Kafka.Experience at a consumer product company designing large scale, distributed systems.The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.$187,600 - $291,500Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
