Which means your work is essential for transforming everywhere.Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?As a Telco Solution Architect within the Service Provider & Edge Business Unit (SEBU) you will be an SME for VMware’s Telco Cloud Platform. We operate as part of the SEBU CTO and work closely with both local account teams and internal product teams to drive innovation and adoption of our next generation solutions. You will be the technical SME working as a senior partner to internal and external teams providing guidance on design, architecture and customer requirements. You will translate the specific needs of CNF and VNF workloads, like vDUs and vCUs, into infrastructure requirements. You will support customers, account teams and partners with your deep technical expertise, as a trusted advisor. You will also drive innovation with our product management and engineering teams by providing real time customer and industry input. You will share your knowledge within the global team of solution architects as well as educating external audiences.The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?Assist customers, account teams and partners in all technical aspects relating to VMware platforms specific to Telco.Drive adoption of new VMware Telco offeringsDrive strategic customer architectural evolutionUnderstand specific challenges of virtualizing/containerizing Telco workloads, and associated infrastructure requirementsUnderstand all aspects of deployment automation from infrastructure deployment automation to VNF/CNF orchestrationWork with product management to enhance and evolve VMware’s Telco Cloud Platform based on customers’ requirementsHelp to manage customer PoC's along with our other technical teamsBuild up internal lab capabilities for your own learning, customer zero testing and internal technical training activitiesHelp with developing and improving product documentationHelp with internal education by documenting and presenting customer learnings to internal audiences and externally at internal and external events.Engage in internal and external training activities by preparing content to educate account teams and customersBe instrumental in driving the VMware effort within RAN and private mobility networks.What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?This role reports to the Director of Solution Architects Christian Hasner and is a part of the SEBU CTO office. We operate as close team of global experts that are highly regarded by our internal and external partners.
