Ensure that Workday's Business Technology portfolio aligns with and accelerates the realization of the company's growth and corporate strategy. Encourages and cultivates long-term and 'big picture' thinking, strategic planning, and the ability to mobilize resources quickly. As a change agent, you ensure alignment of strategy and objectives across BT teams, bringing deep operational knowledge and thought leadership. As the business leader, you play a critical role in implementing change initiatives across the entire organization.About the RoleThe Sr. Director, Business Technology Strategy and Operations will be responsible for managing and developing Workday's Business Technology strategy, communications, ITSM, PMO, user experience, business continuity, and risk management functions.  Ensure that Workday's Business Technology vision, strategy, and portfolio align with and accelerate the realization of the company's growth and corporate strategy.  He or she encourages and cultivates long-term and 'big picture' thinking, strategic planning, and the ability to mobilize resources quickly.   As a change agent, you ensure alignment of strategy and objectives across BT teams, bringing deep operational knowledge and thought leadership.  As the business leader, you play a critical role in implementing change initiatives across the entire organization.About YouKey ResponsibilitiesDevelops and manages the intake, prioritization and reporting practice for BT major project / initiatives, product management, and operations.Establishes and leads executive business reviews to build strong business partnerships, provide transparency, ensure alignment and review authorization, prioritization and status into business sponsored initiatives.Provides full lifecycle management of enterprise software assets. Maintain the authoritative register of IT software to facilitate standardization, rationalization, and ensure acceptable use.Manages the end-to-end lifecycle for all assets including coordinating with the BT leadership to outline capability roadmaps, renewal strategies, rationalization / retirement planning to optimize return on investmentCoordinates with BT Leadership and FP&A to manage / balance unplanned variances between teams (including resource management, vendor renewals, and major initiatives / projects). Ensure BT finances operate within BTs allotted budget.Defines framework, methodology, and tools for Agile management.Provides analytical framework and operational metrics to drive informed business decisions, incorporating trends early, in order to capitalize on opportunities and minimize risks.Defines and operationalizes shared services that enable BT product teams to operate successfully at scaleEncourages high standards of performance and inspires others to define new opportunities and continuously improve the organization.Develops frameworks and narratives for BT Leadership in preparation for executive business reviews.Regularly interacts with senior management and executives on cross-functional programs and topicsTeam leader that coaches, informs, influences, and inspires - while building a healthy team environment aligned with Workday Core ValuesAttracts, hires, onboard and retains top Business Technology talent.Functions as an advocate for the Workday Culture.
