As we take the next step in the growth of our company and our Marketing Team, we are building capability in the development and execution of “top-to-top” events and experiences for senior executives (VP, C-Suite) customers and prospects. We are looking for a senior manager to lead these efforts in a way that builds category leadership, creates brand love, and drives commercial outcomes. We want to work with someone who has incredible business acumen, outstanding executive presence, strong attention to detail, with a deep love for bringing best-in-class brand experiences to life in incredibly imaginative, human ways. This role reports to PagerDuty’s Director of Events and Experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   Develop and execute impactful and inspiring experiences that bring together C-Level and VP-Level executives, enable them to understand the story of the Operations Cloud, persuade them to be advocates and sponsors of PagerDuty within their organizations, and elevate their perceptions of the PagerDuty brand. Apply best-in-class practices not just from B2B events, but well beyond – including in consumer technology, media/entertainment, music, theater, sports, and more – to create inspired possibilities for event experiences at PagerDuty.   Establish a strong relationship with our Executive Team, sales leaders, customer success leaders, and strategic partners to identify, prioritize, invite, and secure executive attendees; while customizing experiences to their needs and expectations through sourced feedback and iteration.  Persistently raise the bar on the experience of the PagerDuty brand; partnering with PagerDuty’s brand/creative team and agency partners to conceive and execute moments, artifacts, and experiences that make these events more powerful and distinctive in the tech/SaaS landscape.  Manage and own logistics and execution of all planned experiences, including shaping event themes, partnering with internal teams, working with outside vendors on event logistics, overseeing swag fulfillment/inventory levels, managing event staffing, setting and defining goals and metrics, and ensuring that the events drive ROI. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: At least 7 years of previous experience in a marketing, sales, or customer-facing role within a fast-growing organization.  A proven track record of building credibility and maintaining relationships with executives, thought leaders, and subject matter experts across multiple teams within a company. A clear vision and distinctive POV for what next-generation event experiences can look like for executive attendees (including planning, content, the creative process, the pre- and post-event experience, etc.). Excellent writing, cross-functional collaboration, and influencing skills. Previous experience successfully managing vendors, including agencies, space management, audio/visual, decor and entertainment, signage, housing, and speakers. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: An outstanding executive presence and exceptionally deep business acumen. A deep passion for brand and bringing brand to life through outstanding customer experiences. Comfort with ambiguity and change, and ability to build consensus where needed without being afraid to own a decision and move forward.  A hands-on, action-oriented leadership style, with an uncanny ability to inspire buy-in and motivate the team to execute successfully and enthusiastically. Ability to travel as needed to support event execution (10-15%).   The base salary range for this position is 142,000 - 217,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits. Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
